 Heartburn is that burning sensation that one feels in the upper abdomen and behind the breastbone. This sensation makes the chest feels like it is on fire. That burning feeling will go down to your diaphragm and then to your throat. You can also get a sour taste when you are having a heart burning sensation.

This situation is very uncomfortable so it is always better to have some medicine with you for quick heartburn relief.

Although this feeling is called heartburn, it actually has nothing to do with heart, it is all about digestive disorders. This kind of an irritation is usually caused by stomach acids.

Because of the fact that the condition of the stomach can change over time and there are a lot of reasons that can cause this burning sensation, a lot of individuals search for heartburn relief solutions. Heartburn can also be a sign of a much bigger problem in a person’s health that is why it is very important not to be too complacent about the situation.
